"Insights from our first Facebook Poll Results: What Do They Reveal?"

The poll os now closed and the results are In. We asked this question

'How important is it that Epping retains a high proportion of independent retailers?'

110 people took part and the results are as follows -

91% (exactly 100 votes) said VERY IMPORTANT

7% ( 7 Votes) said SOMEWHAT IMPORTANT

Less than 1%(1 Vote) took a NEUTRAL position

Less than 1%(1 Vote) said SOMEWHAT UNIMPORTANT

Less than1%(1 Vote) said VERY UNIMPORTANT

The message we can confidentially take away from this sample is that 98% felt some degree of importance to Epping retaining a high degree of independent retailers and value the contribution that independent retailers make to the town.

We obviously do not want our town to be to much the same as other High Streets. Whilst the big chains do have a valued place, we welcome the competition that variety brings.

Please support our independent businesses. If there is a choice between Amazon for example and a local business, please support that local business.

We will be looking at ways to actively support as well and will keep you all up to date.
