Epping is preparing for a lively and welcoming weekend as the Epping Town Partnership hosts a MiniFestival, bringing together music, heritage, family activities and community spirit across two fun‑filled days. Residents are encouraged to come out, explore the town, and enjoy a programme designed to celebrate everything that makes Epping special.

The festivities begin on Saturday 5th September, with a warm and melodic start as the Coffee Concert at St John’s Church runs from 10:30am to noon, offering a relaxed morning of music in one of the town’s most cherished spaces. Alongside this, a bustling Volunteer Fair with Entertainments will take place from 10am to 1pm, giving locals the chance to discover volunteer opportunities, meet community groups, and enjoy live performances.

In the afternoon, history lovers can join the Epping Society Blue Plaque Walk, running from 2pm to 4pm, guiding visitors through the town’s rich heritage and notable landmarks. Throughout the entire weekend, families can take part in a variety of trails and activities, including the “Lions on the Loose” trail, the High Street Treasure Trail, and special Town Shop promotions, encouraging everyone to explore local businesses and enjoy interactive fun.

The celebrations continue on Sunday 6th September, when the Green becomes the heart of the community for Proms on the Green, running from 3pm to 5pm. With uplifting music performed by the Epping Forest Band, residents are invited to bring chairs, refreshments, and settle in for a joyful afternoon of open‑air entertainment.

The MiniFestival promises something for all ages, from music and heritage to family activities and local shopping — making it an ideal opportunity to reconnect with neighbours, support local organisations, and enjoy the best of Epping’s community life.
