First of all we hope you are all having a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend. You may have seen from our previous communication that there are plans afoot to build houses on land at Stonards Hill. A public consultation has been launched and we have just been advised at VERY short notice that there will be a public meeting on Tuesday 26th August (tomorrow) at 7pm at the Town Hall.
Why do they arrange Important public meetings like this at such short notice? It really is such an obvious and dubious tactic that has been employed before and really does them no good to the point that it becomes a bit of a cliche.
We would urge as many of you as possible to attend and use the consultation period to air your views. We would hope that the results of this consultation be released within a reasonable time frame and that The Epping Society will NOT have to resort ro a Freedom of Information request as was the case with the South Epping Consultation.
In addition I am sure it would be refreshing if public opinion were taken into account this time. We will be watching.

At such short notice l regret l am unable to attend this consultation. This is a clear reflection on the unprofessional manner the individuals concerned are lacking in basic effective communication and business skills. With the present government having individuals like Rayner holding a key position in government planning with absolutely no skills to offer is it any wonder standards are non-existent.
